Bikini bodies aren’t made in the summer. They’re made in the winter and spring!
I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely watching my chocolate intake these days, looking forward to feeling good at the beach on Memorial Day weekend.
It’s no secret that eating Inspiralized can help you lose weight – my recipes are generally low-carb, low-calorie and jam-packed with healthy fats and lean proteins.
It’s rare that you’ll see a high-calorie recipe on this blog. Now, I’m not a calorie counter by any means, but when I want to feel a little slimmer or need a healthier week of eating after a particularly indulgent weekend, I’ll opt for “low calorie” and “low carb” recipes that have lean proteins and healthy fats.
Never live by a calorie count – it can only lead to serious calorie restriction, deprivation and an unhealthy food obsession.
However, I think it’s completely “healthy” to understand calories, carbohydrates, proteins, sugars, sodium and other nutrient levels. Knowing the basics helps you lose weight without stressing over what you’re consuming. You should definitely understand that eating 1,200 calories a day is more effective than eating 3,000 (if you’re a moderately active person looking to lose weight.)
Along the same lines, eating a 100 calorie apple is a lot different than eating 100 calories of a Snickers bar.
If you’ve ever hesitated to have an apple after dinner, you’re doing something wrong. If you’ve doubted whether you should have a Snickers bar after dinner, that’s a good thing.
Not all calories are created equal. If you eat clean, you don’t have to worry about calories (within reason.)
Weight loss is a sticky science, but I strongly believe that eating lower calorie or simply “lighter” dinners can really help. Most often, I’ll eat a larger breakfast and lunch and then end the night with a fully-loaded zucchini pasta and a light snack.
That’s the “Eat like a King for breakfast, a Prince for lunch and a Pauper for dinner” mindset.
While not all bodies react the same to certain diet lifestyles, that’s what works for me. If you’re like me or you’re a strict calorie counter (I won’t judge), then you’ll enjoy today’s roundup of 5 Spiralized Meal Ideas Under 350 Calories.
