How to Spiralize Resources

I’m always trying to improve this website to provide better content, but most importantly, more helpful content.

While Inspiralized is a place to come and find healthy spiralized recipes, it’s also a huge resource on spiralizing. I shared a bit about this on Snapchat yesterday and received so many comments back saying things like, “I didn’t know you had that!” or “Wow, I wish I had known that the last time I went to spiralize!”

Therefore, I figured I’d go through all of the resources that are available on this website, all in one easy-to-follow blog post, step-by-step!

Step 1: Get a Spiralizer

If you’re ready to start spiralizing and eating creatively, healthfully and deliciously, then it’s time to get a spiralizer. While there are many choices out there, the absolute best is the Inspiralizer, which is the official spiralizer of Inspiralized. It was personally created by ME, based on years of spiralizing experience. I created the best spiralizer and called it the Inspiralizer!

Here’s a quick intro video:

Step 2: Download Your Free Starter Guide

Sign up for our mailing list and immediately receive your free Starter Guide to Spiralizing. This includes everything you’ll need to know about spiralizing (not as comprehensive as this website, but full of great beginner information and links to must-know spiralizing information). Also when you sign up, you receive 10% off the Inspiralizer.

STEP 3: Head to the Get Started Page

On the Get Started page, you’ll find the following:

  • What spiralizing is
  • What you can spiralize
  • What you can make with spiralized vegetables
  • How to spiralize, step-by-step

Literally, everything you need to know is on that page. If you’re on the List of Vegetables You Can Spiralize, you can actually click on the individual images/vegetables, which will bring you to a page that gives you more specific information about that vegetable.

For example, if you click on the “Beet” image, you’ll be brought to this page:

How to Spiralize

Spend time on this page — it’s meant to give you a crash course in spiralizing!

Step 4: Start Cooking With Recipes

Then there’s the blog (that’s updated Sunday through Thursday) and the Recipes Archives. On this page, you can search all Inspiralized recipes by the following categories:

  • By spiralized vegetable (ie: apple, beet)
  • By category (ie: pastas, salads)
  • By protein (ie: meat & poultry, seafood)
  • By diet (ie: gluten-free, Paleo)

If you want to take it a step further, download the Inspiralized Recipe App (iOS devices only) and have the recipes on you at all time:

Step 5: binge our YouTube Channel

Inspiralized has its own YouTube channel! There are videos on how to spiralize the most popular veggies, such as Sweet Potato and Zucchini. There are full-length cooking videos, quick cooking videos, and videos with helpful spiralizing tips.

Subscribe to our YouTube channel here, but in the meantime, here are some examples of our helpful spiralizing videos:

More Information About Spiralizing

From time to time, I like to share Tips & Tutorials based on questions I get from all of you. To find those posts, search the Spiralizing Tips & Info Archives. Here are some of the top posts in that list:

And that’s it! I hope you’re #inspiralized! If there’s something you were curious about that didn’t get answered here, please let me know and I’ll make a resource about it! Thank you for helping Inspiralized be the official resource for spiralizing!

with love, Ali

  • Hi Ali! I love to spiralize a variety of veggies, and enjoy making many of your recipes. I wondered how you dealt with the seeds in the chayote when spiralizing. Do you leave them in, and pluck them out afterwards, like a pear or apple? I clicked on Chayote (under the Get Started page), in case there was a video. There isn't, but noticed this advice: "Roasting zucchini alone causes the noodles to deflate and become less pasta-like." LOL I guess that applies to the chayote, too. :)
    • Whoops! We fixed that! You can just pluck them out afterwards, there aren't that many seeds! Stay tuned for more resources for chayote :)
  • Hi, I want to get the Inspiralizer but you are not sending it to Hong Kong or Singapore. I am hoping to get one myself and also a few for friends for Christmas. I was wondering if this could be done. Thanks. Serene
    • Serene, unfortunately, we do not ship to Singapore or Hong Kong at this time. I apologize for the inconvenience.
  • These are such good resources! I saw your snaps and I was so blown away. You guys really make the effort to make this easy :) Videos are great and make such a difference. Question for Ali and Meaghan - What's your favorite butternut squash spiralized recipe? Also I have a couple small broccoli stems and I haven't had them spiralized.. but I seriously don't have a lot. What could I throw them in or how could I incorporate these into a recipe? Thanks!!
    • Spiralized broccoli stems are great in a stir fry with other vegetables. Add a nice crunch.
    • Hillary - glad you find this helpful! Favorite butternut squash spiralized recipe is probably my simple Asparagus and Pea Risotto: https://inspiralized.com/inspiralized-rice-parmesan-squash-rice-risotto-with-asparagus-green-peas-gluten-free/ As for broccoli, add them into any pasta you're making - whether regular or spiralized. Just make sure you cook them properly first or else they'll be too crunchy!
