Social Media and Community Manager

Position Title: Director of Brand & Community
Position Type: Full-Time
Start Date: April 16, 2018
Location: Virtual and New York City area (meetings + events)

About the position
Inspiralized is looking to hire the most crucial member of the team: Social Media and Community Manager (SMCM). The SMCM will work alongside and report directly to the CEO, maintaining the Inspiralized community, consisting of the website and all online social channels (Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook.) The SMCM will ensure all social media messaging is consistent with the values of Inspiralized (fresh, healthy, positive, and inspirational.) SMCM will help bring in new Inspiralized readers and fans through social media outreach and engagement.

SMCM will assist CEO with maintaining the website and updating posts as needed (with links, videos, responding to all blog comments, updated images, etc.), posting to social sharing sites such as Foodgawker, helping with creating content and brainstorming new initiatives for Inspiralized, sending out newsletter campaigns, and helping maintain editorial calendars for the blog and social.

Alongside online responsibilities, SMCM will assist CEO with in-person needs, such as photoshoots, videoshoots, events, and live streams.

Daily hours: 8 hours
Weekly hours: 9am-5pm
Days per week: 5 days (Monday-Friday)
Compensation: Available upon application/inquiry

• Works with Customer Service to make sure all social media driven inquiries are answered and responded to
• Utilizes Inspiralized social media channels to engage with a community of fans/followers
• Manages all Inspiralized social media channels – Instagram, Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, building content, scheduling, and comment monitoring
• Manages Inspiralized Community page and suggests new initiatives to grow member engagement
• Build monthly blog reports to profile analytics
• Maintain social and editorial calendars
• Assist with book launch publicity and events
• Build newsletter campaigns and marketing initiatives
• Organizes marketing initiatives and ways to engage follower/fan base
• Collaborates with CEO on ad-hoc projects and assignments
• Reaches out to social communities to gain new followers (through hashtag commenting, etc)
• Submits recipes (when applicable) to photo submission sites, like Foodgawker
• Facilitate brands partnerships and collaborations
• Maintain Inspiralized website and assist with updating posts with links, images, and other assets, as needed.
• Assist CEO with ad-hoc projects, emails

Requirements/Skills Preferred
• 0-2 years of experience in social media management for a brand
Preferred: Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or other equivalent photo-editing and design software
• Preferred: Knowledge of WordPress
• Strong knowledge of social media engagement, using Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest
• Preferred: Knowledge of Facebook Ads
• Prefers challenges, new ideas and future focus
• Strong writer and communicator, open-minded, enthusiastic, adaptable, creative and self-motivated
• Interest in healthy food space, knowledge of eating trends
