Ali! This really looks just like rice! I’m Asian and rice is very dear to my heart – and the closest I’ve had to veggie “rice” is cauliflower rice! Next time, I’ll try turnip! Thanks for the inspiration! And congrats on your new book!

I’ve been following your blog since the fall and have tried a few recipes and have enjoyed them all. I had to comment on this one because if anyone is on the fence about the turnips, don’t be afraid 😉 The taste was fairly mild and quite nice with the mushrooms. The meat and sauce was so yummy. My teen boys scarfed down the beef (I served them plain rice but had them try the turnip rice too). My husband and I loved it–definitely a new dish for our meal rotation. Thanks for all the great, healthy meal ideas.

Can’t wait to try this! My family loves Bulgogi! My husband is half Korean and I actually lived there for a couple of years (long before meeting him!) So excited to try your version!
