Here are the toys that our twins have enjoyed from ages 0 to 6 months.

Favorite Baby Toys for 0-6 Months

Let me preface this post by saying that when you have babies, you really don’t need a single toy. You are all they need- talking to them, holding them, walking around and showing them things, taking them for stroller walks, and of course, lots and lots of tummy time.

However, if you’re like me and you have other kids or just need a minute and need toys for babies to play with and “occupy themselves,” then I have the list for you!

When Luca was born, I bought every toy thinking it would be the magical one that kept him busy, but alas, he wasn’t a “toy” baby – he wanted to be in the mix and I wore him in the carrier pretty much until he was 2 years old! As for Roma, she loved toys, and it was such a nice break for me, especially because I had 2 under 2 there for a bit.

Anyway, here are the toys that our twins have enjoyed – and your little ones might too!

1 – Lovevery subscription: I always recommend this (it makes a great gift for new parents) because the toys are just such quality, last forever, can be used as the kids grow, and it takes the guesswork out of toy-buying. They’re aesthetically pleasing and I do find my kids play with these toys longer than other brands of toys.

2 – Lovevery Play Gym: this is not part of the subscription kit, but it’s crucial to have a quality play gym for your babies – I love it for tummy time and for back playtime.

3 – Black and white cards: These are all I ever really showed my babies when they were 0-4 months old. Apparently high contrast, black and white is very captivating for babies for many reasons.

4 – Mirror: this seems random, but I swear by it! Babies love looking at themselves in the mirror and I just got a simple acrylic mirror that I secured to a wall near the play gym and they love it for tummy time.

5 – Teethers: teething always started for us around 4 months. I swear by these, these, these, and these.

6 – Stroller toy: we clip this on to the stroller and the kids loved looking at it. These are great when they aren’t grasping toys yet, but they like to look at things.

7 – Wooden grasp toy: great for early grasping! It’s also one of their favorite teethers.

8 – Tummy time toy: this is great for the car also, but we love it for tummy time for the twins, because they can each play on either side of it!

9 – Plush high contrast toy: I can’t explain why but my twins loved this from almost day 1. There are high contrast colors and I used it early on for tracking during their small wake windows.

10 – Crinkly books: I have a bunch of crinkly books and they’re great for the car, the stroller, and just all the time. We love this one.

11 – Skip Hop activity center: We started using this when our kids were 4 months old. It’s just the best, we bought another one this time around for the twins to play together. You can adhere other toys to it and eventually, it turns into a table!

12 – Fisher Price play gym: Ugh. I hate that I love this toy because it’s hideous, but man does it work! I still haven’t found a better play gym (I love the Lovevery one because it’s more versatile, but this one engages them more!) I use it now that the twins are almost 7 months – they sit up in it and play with the hanging toys.

13 – O-balls: these are great for an occupational therapy point, great for tongue strength, and they’re great for early graspers! My twins were obsessed with these for a while.

14 – Purse toy: okay, I call this a purse toy because it’s small enough that I can put it in a small purse and always have an engaging toy on hand. I don’t know what it is, but all my kids have loved this toy.

15 – High contrast books: I love the collection of these books, and my babies loved them. I read them all the time!

16 – Night light plush toy: this was a gift from my sister and it’s a lifesaver. I couldn’t have done night time alone with the twins without it.

17 – Soft blocks: my twins love these blocks – there’s plenty to engage with and they’re nice and soft.

18 – Soft pull back cars: our nanny bought these for the twins for Christmas and I have to say, they’ve really loved them. I just pull them back and release them and it keeps them engaged for so long! They love them and they’re great for extending tummy time.

Hope these toys give you some ideas for your little ones! As immobile as babies are, it can be overwhelming to find ways to entertain them at this age. These toys definitely help some, but at the end of the day, just carrying them around and taking them with you around the house (or the block!) is very helpful.

Buying toys that are appropriate for your child can be overwhelming – at least it is at times, for me! Not every child develops the same and not every child is interested in the same things that other children their age are. For example, one of Luca’s friends LOVES toy trucks. While Luca shows some interest, he is by no means obsessed. And while Luca is obsessed with anything kitchen or cleaning related (I think because he spends a lot of time watching me cook and clean!), this same friend has zero interest.

Luca is also a very physical player. He loves climbing, moving, and doesn’t love many toys that require you to sit and do something with focus. His attention span just isn’t there! Now, there are times when he’s very into that, but more times than not, he loves making forts, balancing on foam blocks, and filling his play kitchen with play food. Most recently, I got him his own play set of cleaning tools and it’s a Godsend, because while I’m in the kitchen, he’ll grab a broom and play around, sweeping everything in the kitchen. It gives me a 10 minute break!

Below is a list of his most-played-with toys at the moment!

Luca’s Favorite Toddler Toys: 16 months

Cleaning Tools: we keep these in the kitchen, and Luca loves them. he literally walks around sweeping and dusting, it’s so cute! they’re very high quality and I can tell will last a long time!

Foam Blocks 1 and Foam Blocks 4: a big hit with him! we keep them in our living room and although they are big and bulky, we got them in a color that complements our blue living room carpet. he loves building forts, balancing on the blocks, and stacking them up to knock them down. he makes little obstacle courses!

Grocery Cart: he loves pushing this around and adding things to do. he really loves dumping it all on the floor and taking the pieces one by one and handing them to people, haha.

Foam Blocks: see above.

Play Kitchen : we originally got this for him for his 1 year birthday (but gave it to him around 11 months) and it’s been the best investment I’ve made for his play area – he LOVES it and spends so much time there. he knows what “kitchen” means now.

Push Popper: what a classic child toy, right? my sister bought this for him and he loves pushing it around and the noise it makes. he’ll take it in the hallway and walk up and down the corridors, haha.

Sticker Pad: these stickers aren’t actually sticky, they only stick on the pads inside. Luca doesn’t do well with the true sticky stickers, but these he loves. we call it “playing stickers.” it really helps with his fine motor skills, too.

Sports Center: this was a hand me down gift from my sister in law and he loves playing with Daddy! it’s a fun way to get excited about sports play.

Stacking Cupcakes: this is probably his favorite toy that lives in his play kitchen. he takes all of the “muffins” out of the holes and lays them out and then puts them back in. he loves offering us them, too. it’s precious.

Finger Puppets: when Luca was an infant and we were desperate for anything exciting to play with him (haha, those months are tough, right?!), we bought these finger puppets and he’s always liked them, but now he actually grabs the bag they live in and gives them to us, because he loves us to stack them on all of his fingers. it’s a great 10-15 minute activity and a good way to teach animals.

Pound-a-Peg Toy: he recently started showing interest in peg toys, so we got this – he doesn’t always use the mallet, but he likes putting the pegs in the holes. again, great for motor skill development!

When Luca was born, there was a bit of a September heat wave and it was really warm. I remember planning his delivery month thinking, “New Jersey weather is unpredictable, it could be in the 50s!” Well, it was warm, but I still prepared with winter gear on my baby registry and got all the necessities for bundling him up over the wintertime (and just in case it was chilly when he was born.)

For most of his infancy, he was in the cold weather. By the time we got out of the thick of winter, he was about 6-7 months old and by then, I knew how to bundle up my little bundle of joy! And now, as we head into the wintertime, I have all the necessities and picked up some extras, now that he’s a bit larger.

Here are my must-haves for bundling up your baby/young toddler (Luca is 14 months old at the time of this post) from fall through winter:

1. Stroller bunting: this is toddler sized and truly bundles up your little one! I love the fleece lining of this one and how it covers Luca’s head as well (because sometimes he pulls off his beanie!)

2. Stroller WarMMuffs: one of the first pieces of mom advice I received while pregnant was, “Get the WarMMuffs!” and now I know why – they’re my favorite cold weather gear item. They keep your hands warm while you’re pushing the stroller but then when you need to grab the baby, use your phone, or whatever, you don’t have to bother with taking gloves on and off.

3. Warm blanket: Luca lived in Saranoni blankets when he was first born, they’re just so, so soft. I LOVE this blanket specifically, because it’s not too bulky so it can be used in the stroller easily. You can use code ALI20 for 20% off any of their products now through Christmastime!

4. Beanie: This one gets us through the fall and early winter, when we need something more heavy duty (see #5!)

5. Beanie and gloves: Luca rarely keeps his gloves on, but I try! I love this cute wintery hat.

6. Puffer jacket: This is the jacket Luca loves and wears for most of winter. On the really, really cold days, I’ll use his North Face jacket (#9).

7. Puffer vest: Great for transitioning from fall to winter or for some added warmth during the really, really cold days.

8. Sherpa onesie: I used the footed versions of these during the winter when Luca was a newborn, but now I will use them for him with a pair of shoes, since he’s walking. They’re just such a great way to keep warm (and so cute!)

9. Winter jacket: North Face brand never fails and we love this one for the baby.

10. VANS shoes: Luca started walking this year and these were his first real shoes (after walkers) and they are nice and warm, easy to get on and off, and protect his ankles.

11. Winter boots: I just got these for Luca, now that he walks this winter – and for those snowier, slushier days, I’m hoping these boots do the trick! Love the velcro!

12. Booker vest: Another must-have item, I wore this ALL the time with Luca. I sized up and what I love about it is that it’s a Mommy-owned business! It’s comfortable, baby’s comfortable, and fits over the carrier easily. It keeps you and baby warm and lets you keep your jacket open, so you can be a bit more fashionable!

13. Earth mama face cream: Luca’s face was a mess during the winter he was first born. This stuff was a lifesaver, I’d put it on all the time! I’m using it now too, because he has a lot of red irritation around his nose and it does the fix.

14. Baby carrier cover: If you don’t want to invest in the Booker vest, I also have this (it’s rain friendly!) and it’s great, but you have to put it on and off which is annoying (the Vest just zips over!) It’s great to protect from wind and rain.

15. Pookie poncho: In case you don’t have the Ergobaby and need another (warmer) option, I also have this Pookie poncho!

16. Car seat cocoon: I got this as a gift and used it when he was really, really little, but since we live in a city and don’t use the car seat much, we found it was okay to just wrap him in a blanket to and from the car. But if you live in a suburb or more rural area where you’re driving a lot in and out of the car, this was great.

What are your cold weather essentials?

month 11 of the BABY FAVORITES series. things that my baby (and me!) are loving at this stage. for this series, I’m going to list the things that made month ELEVEN great!

and this will be the LAST favorites post, now that Luca is 1 year old. I wanted these faves to be a catalog of all my favorite things for Luca’s first year and now that he’s officially 1, this is the last post! hope you enjoyed and found some inspiration.

and of course, you can check out newborn favorites, month 4, month 5, month 6, month 7, month 8, month 9, and month 10.

month 11: baby favorites

1. Peekaboo Bunny: This bunny is great – it plays Peekaboo and sings a little song with him. He loves how the ears move and he always giggles. It’s super cute!

2. Play kitchen pots: Luca loves making noise and banging things together. That’s why his favorite toy for his play kitchen are these metal pots and pans!

3. Footie Sleepers – I LOVE these pajamas. They are so, so soft and the foot part of it can change from a footie pajama to a footless. They also have a double zipper, which is great for that newborn stage!

4. Teething necklace – SO I actually use these while nursing! I keep one by my nightstand and when I go to nurse Luca, I put it on, because he’s much more distracted while nursing at this age, and it helps keep him busy. They come in such cute styles, too.

hope you picked up a few ideas for your little ones!

month 10: baby favorites

1. play kitchen – Luca LOVES this play kitchen. we are telling people to bring “accessories” for it to his first birthday party and now, he just has random toys in it – but loves playing here. it’s adorable!

2. fridge magnet board – this has made organizing my freezer meals for Luca so much better! now I know what’s in the freezer, making meal planning easier.

3. baby gate – I wish I had gotten this sooner! as Luca became mobile, it was tough keeping him in a safe zone. I’d go to the kitchen and he’d crawl over. now, he is in a safe, baby proofed area thanks to this minimalist baby gate.

4. Freeze dried fruit snacks – I pack these in his diaper bag when we go out all day and they’re a nice little treat, especially at restaurants. He loves them!

5. brown bear book – this has been his favorite book lately! he sits through the whole thing and always loves the last page! it’s adorable.

hope you picked up a few ideas for your little ones!

month 9 of the BABY FAVORITES series. things that my baby (and me!) are loving at this stage. for this series, I’m going to list the things that made month NINE great!

and of course, you can check out newborn favorites, month 4, month 5, month 6, month 7, and month 8.

month 9: baby favorites

1. Bath mat: Luca started taking baths not in an infant tub around 8-9 months, but he was really slippery, so we bought this bath mat and he loves splashing on it. we point out all the fish/animals on it and he loves it. he’s also standing up in the tub now, so we feel safer having it in there.

2. Extra freezer: now that Luca is eating proper meals (and not just steamed veggie spears), I’m making a lot of freezer-friendly foods (muffins, meatballs, sauce, etc), and I bought this freezer and it’s such a lifesaver! it’s funny, but I feel like spending almost $200 on this freezer has saved me (and will continue to save me) so much more money! no more food waste!

3. Baby proofing locks: Luca is on the move and VERY curious – he’s been opening up every single drawer! it’s amazing how quickly he gets around. we bought these locks and although they’re clunky, they’re clear/white, so they’re not too much of an eye sore – and very effective.

4. Tank top shorty: Luca has been living in these from GAP. they’re always on sale, they’re comfy, last long, and they are breathable for these hot summer days.

5. Jellycat stuffed animal: he’s just starting to like stuffed animals – and he drags this one around his play area. it jingles and I think that excites him!

6. Large ice cube trays: these are great for freezing sauce! I have the same size in a different brand, but I love that this comes in a two-pack, because I wish I had another!

hope you picked up a few ideas for your little ones!

month 8 of the BABY FAVORITES series. things that my baby (and me!) are loving at this stage. for this series, I’m going to list the things that made month EIGHT great!

and of course, you can check out newborn favorites, month 4, month 5, month 6, and month 7.

month 8: baby favorites

1. Baby walker: Luca isn’t totally into this, but he definitely gets around in it! I put him in it mainly when I’m cooking in the kitchen, so I can be hands free. sometimes he whines, sometimes he loves it. but, it helps mama, so it made the list!

2. Rash guard swimwear: now that it’s officially summer, I got Luca some proper swimwear – and the long sleeve rash guards are best. Love how easy it is to get on and off with the shorts, too.

3. Booster seat: we first got this for our Bahamas vacation, but we quickly realized it’s great for bringing to the park for picnic eating! Luca loves this chair and it’s easy to clean.

4. Toothbrush: now that he officially has teeth (four, to be exact!), we had to get real toothbrushes! we love these, they’re easy to use.

5. Baby’s first laptop: maybe because he sees me on my laptop a lot, who knows, but he loves opening and closing this laptop! it’s cute to see him do it.

6. Activity table: Luca started standing confidently in his eighth month and this was KEY. it helped him with balance, and he would stay at it for a long time, touching all the buttons and playing.

7. Bedtime songs: we started really committing to reading books before bed, and I’ve noticed that Luca likes the routine – and it’s easy to tell now when he’s totally ready for bed (he starts fidgeting after a couple books, because he’s finally tired and ready.) we love this because we can sing along with him.

8. BabyZen YOYO stroller: WOW. what an amazing product! this is great for airplane travel or quick trips where you don’t need a lot of your typical stuff. it’s so light, compact, moves well, and if you’re traveling, it can be put in an overhead bin!

hope you picked up a few ideas for your little ones!

month 6 of the BABY FAVORITES series. things that my baby (and me!) are loving at this stage. for this series, I’m going to list the things that made month SIX great!

and of course, you can check out newborn favorites, month 4, and month 5.

month 6: baby favorites

1. Wooden blocks: So these are not the exact blocks that I bought, but they are just like them – and Luca LOVES blocks now. I build them up in a tower and he knocks them down. We could do this for HOURS, it’s hilarious. He giggles so much!

2. Inglesina table high chair: If you’re doing baby led weaning, especially, this is a great chair! It’s so easy to clean and reassemble (and I’m bad at stuff like that) and it adheres well to tables at restaurants. He loves sitting in this chair, because you’re at the same level as the adults (whereas high chair you’re always looking up.) AND it has a bag that’s built into it for easy carrying.

3. Maracas: Luca never loved rattles too much, but he loves this maraca and it’s easy to bring in the car, to the restaurant, etc.

4. Ring stack: Like the blocks, he could play with this ring stack forever. I think this is helpful for the stage of development he’s in (or so I read) and he loves seeing the rings build up and then being broken down!

5. Dear Zoo: Luca loves flap books – this and Where’s Spot? are his favorite – he reaches for the flaps and gets excited when I open the flaps up!

6. Grippy ball: Luca started loving balls and this grippy one is great because he can hold on to it thanks to the little rubber grips that are on the outside. It bounces too, which is great!

7. Pop-up friends: Luca loves this toy! I switch the buttons so the little animals pop up and he pushes them back down! One day, he’ll be able to open the animals up too, but for now, he loves when they pop up and he pushes them back down.

8. Nuby popsicle mold: I make breasticles for Luca using these popsicle molds! He LOVES them and the grip is perfect for his little hands.

hope you picked up a few ideas for your little ones!

month 5 of the BABY FAVORITES series. things that my baby (and me!) are loving at this stage. for this series, I’m going to list the things that made month FIVE great!

and of course, you can check out newborn favorites, and month 4.

month 5: baby favorites

1. jumperoo: I had to keep this on month 5 because now he’s REALLY into this thing. he’s way more engaged, notices the little toys on the sides, and can support himself much more easily. it’s his favorite toy in our place and allows us to be hands-free for almost 20+ minutes!

2. turn and learn driver: while Luca can’t sit up totally on his own, I love sitting with him in my lap (to help him balance sitting up) and he plays with this endlessly. it really helps strengthen his tummy muscles and helps with motor skills!

3. sit-to-stand learning walker: this was a gift from my sister-in-law and it’s great because it works for babies and toddlers – once Luca starts walking, it converts into a walker. for now, he just sits up with me and plays. it has so many little details that he loves getting lost in and makes great music.

4. bubble makers: Luca is FASCINATED by bubbles. I bought these on Amazon (brought me back to my days in summer camp) and he will literally sit there for 15 minutes watching me blow bubbles.

5. toy storage: we bought this for our living room (because the toy situation was getting a little out of hand) and it’s great. it’s colorful, still modern, light, and Luca actually loves sitting in the boxes, haha. there’s a lot of storage and contains all of our toys (for now.)

6. stacking blocks: while Luca can’t actually stack these himself (yet!), he loves watching Mommy do it. it’s a great little bonding activity.

7. 4moms high chair: we’re going to start baby led weaning at 6 months and we got this high chair so that he can start sitting with us at the dinner table when we have dinner at night – he LOVES being in it and you can tell he really likes being part of the conversation. we usually give him this vegetable set.

hope you picked up a few ideas for your little ones!

this series is a LONG time coming: BABY FAVORITES. things that my baby (and me!) are loving at this stage. I should’ve done this for month 1, 2, and 3, but alas, it’s better late than never, right? for this series, I’m just going to list the things that made month four great!

and of course, you can check out newborn favorites.

month 4: baby favorites

1. books: Luca loves bright colors, large images, and nothing too fancy (ie no watercolor or painted books.) his patience is also short, so long books haven’t worked well. our favorites are the Karen Katz books (Where Is Baby’s Belly Button? is his fav!)

2. light up toys: Luca started really enjoying toys that light up (battery operated) with music. he goes wild over his first cell phone and his piano keys.

3. play yard: Luca started really engaging with play yards – actually spending time with the toys instead of just laying there and staring. it’s adorable to watch. he outgrew his first Fisher Price mini play mat (I loved it for the first three months!) and now he’s onto this one – it lights up and he even loves tummy time more because it’s so brightly colored on the bottom.

4. floor seat: this was a God-send. seriously. Luca loves sitting it and watching Mommy walk around the kitchen and cook. if he gets fussy, there are little toys on it that I’ll put in his hands or I’ll sing to him as I cook. it enables me to be hands free and get more done. sometimes I put him on it on the floor and fold laundry. it’s amazing!

5. crinkle toys: he has always loved crinkle toys, but now he’s starting to really love them, because he can crinkle them himself! it’s adorable to watch.

6. sleep sacks: Luca has slept unsaddled since about 6 or 7 weeks. once we started sleeping him on his tummy (around 5-6 weeks), we noticed he didn’t need to be swaddled to sleep. during the daytime, we just put a blanket over him (because we’re watching him on the monitor), but at night time, we LOVE these Aden and Anais sleep sacks. they’re great especially when we’re down in Florida, because they’re lightweight so they don’t make him sweat. he seems to love them and he looks so adorable in them! he wears a size Small right now, but we’ll probably start using a Medium in a month or two.

7. jumperoo: I crack up hysterically when Luca is in this. he jumps around like crazy! he’s probably a few weeks too early for it, so I don’t put him in it for that long (maybe 10 minutes max), because he doesn’t have the ability to sit up unassisted, so I don’t want to stress out his spine (I read too much on the Internet, haha.) he LOVES it and there’s so much for him to look at!

8. graco door jumper: when I’m in my bedroom cleaning or putting on my makeup or getting changed or just want another activity for him, he loves this door version of the jumper. it lets him look more around less than on toys and he seems to be able to hold himself up easier in this. we started on it just about when he turned 4 months. he loves this one and I love that it has bumpers, because he hits the door moldings and there’s a buffer between him and the wall (and it won’t wreck our door frames!)

9. coleman stadium seat: now that Luca’s playing more with toys, I couldn’t live without this. it basically creates a little seat for you so you have back support. I can sit all day long in this thing, it’s comfortable and allows me to rock back and forth. sometimes I read him books in it on the floor or play with a toy and he’s in my lap and I don’t have to hunch over.

10. wooden toy for the baby Bjorn bouncer: Luca still loves his baby Bjorn bouncer, but now that he’s older, he needs a little more entertainment and he loves these blocks! he loves the googly eyes and the older he gets, the more he plays with it!

11. moose toy: don’t ask me why, but he’s OBSESSED with this moose. he can literally play with it for 20 minutes. you have to of course play with it with him, but it keeps him occupied – maybe it’s the colorful feet or the fact that it squeaks, but he loves it.

12. baby Einstein chair: what I love about this one is that the baby can entertain himself alone! he grabs at the little dangling toys. he loves the lights and music. when he gets a little antsy, I take off the bar that holds the toys and it’s just a great bouncer chair to seat him in. I always use this one first thing in the morning when I have to pump, because I need him to entertain himself!

and that’s pretty much it!

let me know if you like this “baby favorites” series and I’ll continue to do them!

playing with a newborn is somewhat limited. in the first few days and weeks, they don’t really see much, so it seems like they can’t be entertained. plus, they’re usually sleeping (ah, I miss those days!) as the babies grow and they start to see patterns and engage more with the world, it gets a lot more fun!

Luca is almost 8 weeks old and these are the toys/products that he loves to play with and keep him entertained (and tuckers him out!)

1 – hand held mirror: you probably already have one of these in your home! even in the initial weeks, Luca LOVED to look at himself and now, I can hold the mirror in front of him (while he’s in the Rock n’ Play or Baby Bjorn Bouncer and he loves it – and smiles!)

2 – rock n play: while this was key in the beginning for daytime naps (and night time!), he’s outgrown that stage (since he hates being on his back), but we still use it during the day for playtime – with this little mobile attached to the top! we can read books to him in it and rock him to keep him soothed.

3 – baby bjorn bouncer: when Luca was about 5 weeks old, he was big enough for this bouncy chair and now he LOVES it. he’ll stay in it (and sometimes pass out in it for a good nap!) for awhile and play. he likes to be bounced. I love reading to him or showing him these art cards while he’s in the chair.

4 – crib mobile: BEST PURCHASE EVER. Luca loves his mobile – I can get a lot done in the morning by just laying him underneath the mobile. once, he stayed there for 30 minutes! it’s affordable, colorful, and the music isn’t obnoxious! it’s funny, now I know which song he starts fussing at (once he’s bored, after 20-30 minutes.)

5 – stroller mobile: Luca doesn’t love the car seat, so we needed to find a distraction and this easily attachable stroller mobile was it – and we also use it on the Rock n’ Play!

6 – travel/universal mobile: okay last mobile! this is basically an easily clip-able mobile that we use in the bassinet on our walks together (the other mobiles won’t stay attached.) he loves it and the music is gentle enough that it helps him get to bed while he’s being strolled in the bassinet. it clips on to the car seat, also!

7 – art cards: babies apparently only see high contrast images at first, so these are great for their development. at first, Luca didn’t gaze at them for very long, but now, he’ll stare at a card for 5 minutes straight! it’s adorable and I feel like I’m really helping him develop!

8 – where is my belly button book: there are a couple books I wanted to add to this list, because they’re easy reads with big, colorful images that are great for newborns. Luca loves this belly button book, because there are flaps that open up and it excites him!

9 – that’s not my dragon book: the wording is easy on this one too, so after I feed him in the morning, I’ll read him this one and it takes a couple minutes, but it’s easy for me to read and hold him at the same time.

10 – fisher price kick n’ play piano gym: for some reason, Luca doesn’t look big playmats, but he LOVES this smaller, contained one. this is like the crib mobile, he’ll stay underneath this entertaining himself for a while, so Mommy can fold laundry, eat, or do whatever. he loves it and it helps with a lot of motor development.

11 – elephant play mat: either a blanket or this play mat is used for tummy time! he loves how soft it is and when we’re done with tummy time, I flip him over and talk to him for a little bit. it’s a nice surface to entertain the baby, anywhere in your house (we keep it on the couch!)

I’d love to hear what products you love for entertaining your baby!
