I wanted to ask and now I feel less awkward about it ha - do you have regular bra recommendation(s)? I have the worst time finding larger bras that don't make me look flatter and wide across instead of...focused and together in the front? :-) And you look amazing! (Also, thanks for the sports bra tip, I just saw these at the store recently, will have to try them out!).

First of all hats off to you Ali! You are truly an amazing inspiration!! I am especially grateful for the Q&A section as some questions there are really things I struggle with (lack of motivation and time, etc.)

As you have written in one of your previous health posts it really comes down to finding the workout that works for everyone. I haven't been able to do that yet, and as I find exercising lackluster I really slack off working out. Would you have any tips and advice on what to do to find that motivation and personal workout?

Also thanks for the portion control trick of the 100 calorie pack almonds, I'll do that because around almonds I usually cannot be trusted, I eat about 3 handfuls because I like munching on them. But now I'll just portion them out and will only take the counted out almonds into the living room ;-)

You are such an inspiration Ali - I love the spiralizer and following you on Snapchat has given me daily motivations and my "ali Fix" loving your new office BTW. I can completely relate to your journey im 5,6 and started tipping the scale at 170 and woke up one day ay said "how did i get here?!?"as "happy" me is at that 140-145 range as well. so time to clock in. i've had the spiralizer for about a year and use it about 3-4 time a week. Im currently down 17 pounds and living a vegan, gluten & soy free lifestyle to cleanse and get back on track. reading you journey there were so many parts i could relate to.

Congrats on the half marathon & new cook book.
PS: how on earth do you spiralize a carrot??? i fail everytime.

Thanks for putting this together!! I've said it before, but you're SO relatable and that's why we all love you! Thanks for speaking from the heart. Your honesty is so necessary in this world of "HLBs" (healthy living bloggers).

Also - thanks for addressing the alcohol thing. I personally don't drink anymore, and when I stopped I noticed how much easier it was stay at a normal-for-me weight. Even when people just cut back a little, it makes all the difference! I like your approach a lot!

Have you tried barre? Barre ab work outs gave me abs for the first time in life. (28 years of no abs, and finally have them!) Of course abs are probably 80% diet, and they definitely look better on days when I'm not eating inflammatory foods. But youtube some barre ab routines! lots of planks, leg lifts, work under a barre (which you can totally modify at home), and bridge work for lower abs!

Stephanie, you sound exactly like my future self, haha! Yes, the Netflix struggle is real. As for snacking, I allow myself something healthy that's in the 100-150 calorie range (that's just guidance, I'm not a calorie counter, I just think that level of calories is a good judge) -- lightly salted popcorn, a banana with 1/2 packet of almond butter, frozen grapes, something like that -- even just a piece of dark chocolate. It's all a mindset, it's literally saying, "I want to wake up feeling refreshed and light, not discouraged." Also, a big trick that has helped me is drinking LOADS of water, just keep drinking water! Also, turmeric lattes or tea with some steamed almond milk seems like a treat! Hope that helps !

You are very inspiring! As a 43 year old, mom of two, whose weight and health has fluctuated through the years, I can definitely attest to the lifelong journey of wellness. I am not at a good point in my journey, but reading through this post gives me a renewed positive energy. Thank you. One question-- how do you deal with the late night munchies?! That's my weak time too... My littles are in bed, house clean, prepped for tomorrow...I want Netflix, a glass of cab, and a snack! :)
