Hi and thank you for this idea! Can you let me know how it works with two cameras? Can we watch/hear both kids at the same time? Does it automatically toggle between them? Also, I got the keep screen on thing but is there a way to keep the monitor on but the screen off (for when we are sleeping and don’t want the extra light?)

I got a nest cam to use as a monitor for my kids room. Got the Amazon Fire to work with it. Picture is great. But when they are talking it’s hard to hear over the noise of the camera. Is there any way to get the volume crisper so I can hear of the kids are trying to tell us something so we can better hear them ?

I was wondering did you ever have any issue with the volume when using the nest with amazon fire tablet? Was it hard to hear your babies through the tablet?

Hey Ali- thanks so much for this awesome and detailed tutorial! We are expecting our first baby in the next 5 weeks and I just finished setting up our Amazon Fire/Nest based on your recommendation! Quick Q as I’m not usually an Android user—my tablet keeps giving me cheesy game options when I first turn the screen on. I can’t stand it. Is there a way to disable that? I’m also trying to figure out how to delete all the weird apps on the tablet as all I’m interested in using it for is as our baby monitor. Any suggestions greatly appreciated for how to cut down on the excess clutter that seems to have come with the tablet! Thank you and keep up the great work, mama! I CAN’T THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR THIS TUTORIAL. mY SISTER IN LAW BOUGHT US A SMART CAM FOR OUR BABY SHOWER, HAD NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH IT. ENDED UP GETTING ONE TABLET FROM MY MOM (THAT SHE WAS NO LONGER USING) AND ANOTHER ON PRIME DAY FOR $30. wE NOW HAVE A SUPER CHEAPER MONITOR SOLUTION WITH A WAY BETTER CAMERA AND NOISE!!!! tHANKS AGAIN!
