Once, my mother and I ordered champagne and lump crab meat at an airport. I actually forget where we were going, but we felt special. There’s something about lump crab meat that’s fancy.

I like to think that this spiralized butternut squash pasta dish is regal. The feta and parsley look stunning on top of the orange noodles and the flavors… well, the flavors are fit for a King (or in my case, a Queen!)

Spicy Garlic Lump Crab Butternut Squash Pasta with Feta & Parsley

Spicy crab meat pasta was one of my favorite dishes that my mother made for me while growing up. Just garlic, olive oil and chili flakes are all you need. The simple yet rich flavor of crab meat infuses the warmed olive oil and the chili flakes give it a kick of heat in each bite.

The parsley gives the dish a freshness and the feta warms into the noodles, giving it a creamy saltiness.

Crab meat is very low in calories – about 45 cals for 1/3 of a cup! While it’s a bit pricey, you’ll be saving plenty of calories. That’s a good deal, if you ask me.

Let this dish be a tribute to my mother, who tried so desperately to get me to cook during my middle school years. I remember kicking and screaming with lots of ‘but I don’t waaaaaaanna’s. Look how the tables have turned!

  • This is GORGEOUS and I love the spicy lump crab on top!! Such a perfect meal in my mind!! :)
  • Love your website! Just bought a spiralizer and saw yourrecipe...and it looks delicious! One question... How long do you cook the noodles?
  • What's your fav spirolizer? I wanted to get one that makes angel hair width and regular spagetti width for Christmas presents.Love the butternut squash pasta...yummmmmmm..Also do you have a Pin it button? I'd love to pin your recipes!♥
  • I'm trying to figure out where butternut squash noodles come from. The recipe says one butternut squash but then in the directions it says butternut squash noodles. How did the squash transform into pasta? i am missing a step. But this looks fabulous so I want to fill in the gap. :)
    • Lisa, go to How to Spiralize and you'll see what I mean! It actually says "peeled, Blade C" which means that the butternut squash should be peeled and then Blade C on the spiralizer should be used to create the noodles. Hope this helps - it's a great recipe, I hope you try it!
  • How long to you bake the noodles for?
    • 7-10 minutes - after 7 minutes, check the consistency every couple of minutes to make sure that you don't overdo them!
  • My mom gifted me a spiralizer for my birthday and I have since been addicted! Planning to make this tomorrow night, but I'm wondering - what size butternut squash did you use? I have yet to spiralize a butternut squash and can't quite guess how many noodles a small, medium, vs. large squash might yield. Can't wait to try this!
