Turkey and Quinoa Marinara Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pound ground turkey or preferred ground meat
  • pepper
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2/3 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1 cup marinara sauce

Instructions

  • Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once oil is shimmering, add the turkey and season with pepper and oregano. Immediately start breaking the meat up with a wooden spoon. Cook until the meat is no longer pink on the inside, about 7 minutes. Stir in the peas and cook for 3 minutes or until no longer frozen. Fold in the quinoa and marinara sauce and stir well to combine. Serve.
