the sleeveless turtleneck: transitioning to fall

it's hot. it's cold. it's hot, not humid. it's cold at night.

welcome to the beginning of fall. it's not quite bundle-up weather, but it's also not blistering hot. it's basically the hardest time of year to look cute, because you're constantly sweating or freezing because you're forcing either cold gear or savoring summer when it's too chilly to savor.

welcome to the beginning of fall. it’s not quite bundle-up weather, but it’s also not blistering hot. it’s basically the hardest time of year to look cute, because you’re constantly sweating or freezing because you’re forcing either cold gear or savoring summer when it’s too chilly to savor.

my favorite piece to wear this time of year is the sleeveless turtleneck sweater. I’m obsessed with this sweater, I could wear it every day, cuddled up. if you do get it, I’d recommend sizing down (I’m wearing a Small, but I probably should have gotten an XS — I just love chunky!)

I paired this sweater with some raw edge cropped denim (I LOVE these, they’re the perfect amount of stretch and a very flattering color) and my new Everlane loafers.

I was hesitant to buy loafers, because I thought they’d make me look a little too stiff, but these are the perfect ones – they’ve got a pointed toe so they’re a bit more feminine and there’s a soft sheen to the black leather, along with a cute wooden bottom. I can’t wait to wear them to work meetings!

with love, Ali
