another last minute EASY idea for tomorrow! šŸ¦ƒšŸ‚ if you’re suddenly tasked with bringing a side dish to Thanksgiving, why not try this ROASTED BROCCOLI with POMEGRANATES and WALNUTS. 🄦 it’s festive for the Christmas or Thanksgiving table AND it’s a wintery presentation for broccoli all season long. šŸ‘šŸ¼

grab the recipe on the blog! and SAVE this recipe to make for many occasions!
I made this quiche while my family was in town for I made this quiche while my family was in town for last year’s Thanksgiving and we still talk about it! it’s definitely making the table this year - BUTTERNUT SQUASH and GOAT CHEESE QUICHE with ROSEMARY! 🄚
⁣
serve it the morning of Thanksgiving, your house guests the next morning - or just anytime this winter to celebrate butternut squash season. it reheats well, and it’s great fuel for Black Friday holiday shopping!⁣ ā›½ļøšŸ›ļø
⁣
you can grab the recipe on the blog - how’s everyone feeling? ready for the holidays to officially begin this week? šŸ¦ƒšŸ‚
HERE’S HOWšŸ‘‡šŸ¼ ⁣ with our house move, Luca HERE’S HOWšŸ‘‡šŸ¼
⁣
with our house move, Luca’s tonsillectomy, the twins being sick, and the start of the holidays, I’m feeling paralyzed by everything that needs to get done. I felt like there weren’t enough hours in the day. and while yes, I deserve rest at the end of a day and shouldn’t maximizing every minute, what ends up happening is that I can’t be productive during the day or truly ever relax, because I have so much looming over me in my subconscious. there’s this invisible to-do list that weighs me down.⁣
⁣
that’s when I decided to make a list of all of the little things I have to do, to clear my mind of it. I’m talking everything from picking up dry cleaning to buying holiday gifts to organizing closets, taking winter gear out of storage, cleaning out junk drawers - all of it! honestly, it felt cathartic to just get it all out of my head and see it on paper.⁣
⁣
once it was on paper, it was less scary. I realized I could build a plan. so I made myself my afternoon coffee, sat down with the list, and I scheduled in time to tackle these projects. I actually put these time blocks in my calendar, and so I can plan around them. similar to scheduling in your workouts, if you’ve already ā€œreservedā€ time for something, you’re more likely to do it. ⁣
⁣
and sometimes, I just whittle away at a certain project. you’d be surprised where you can find micro moments in your day to attack bigger to-dos.⁣ šŸ™šŸ¼
⁣
so, to recap: ⁣
āļømake a list of things that need to get done in your life, whether that’s around the house or in general (ie ā€œshopping for holiday giftsā€ vs ā€œorganize the coat closetā€)⁣
āļøorganize the list from least time consuming to most time consuming⁣
āļøschedule time in for each item on your list in your calendar, knowing that some projects may need more than one time on the calendar (if it’s a more time consuming project)⁣
⁣
and for those of us who live with a partner šŸ‘‰šŸ¼ see which tasks you can delegate! maybe you can have your partner take some of the pressure off, once you see the list on paper. ⁣
⁣
I hope this helps! SAVE this reel for future inspiration, and let me know in the comments if you struggle with this too. happy to share more on this journey! ā¤ļø
ROASTED VEGGIE & GRAIN SALAD szn is here!Ā ā£ā£šŸ‚šŸ„¬
⁣
I am obsessed with warm lettuce. It sounds like an odd obsession, but I find it hard to drink smoothies and eat cold salads in the chilly temps. that’s why I move over to warm salads, which is basically hot, roasted toppings on lettuce. it makes lettuce a bit cozier and more appetizing, and it’s a fiber-filled way to eat.⁣
⁣⁣
take this ROASTED VEGETABLE & FARRO SALAD with GOAT CHEESE šŸ„•šŸ„¬, using cooked farro, carrots, and beets. it’s topped with walnuts, fluffy goat cheese, and finished off with a simple homemade apple cider dressing.Ā ā£ā£šŸ‘šŸ¼

RESTOCK MY KIDS’ MINI FRIDGE WITH ME in partners RESTOCK MY KIDS’ MINI FRIDGE WITH ME in partnership with @onceuponafarm! #ad⁣ šŸŽšŸ„•šŸ‡
⁣
This mini fridge used to hold all of my personal beverages (from wine to kombucha) and then I realized if I put all of the kids’ snack foods in this fridge, it would free up the main fridge for my beverages, it would give the kids a sense of independence and capability in the house, and it would save me time (I can’t tell you how many times in a day I would have to grab Luca a string cheese or Roma a clementine!)⁣
⁣
Plus, it’s cute, and makes the kids feel special! And no, they don’t finish the juice right away and they DO eat the carrots - you’d be surprised how well kids listen to their bodies when you give them the space and freedom to do so!⁣
⁣
But first, a few things!⁣
1ļøāƒ£This fridge is mainly for the big kids, BUT I often ask Luca or Roma to grab a snack in there for the twins and that’s why I have @onceuponafarm pouches in there too!⁣
2ļøāƒ£Yes, there’s a bit more plastic here. That’s for two reasons. One, while the twins are young and many foods are choking hazards, I need the protection of the plastic. Once they’re old enough, I’ll swap the pre-packaged apple slices for whole apples, and once they can manage cheese, I’ll have that cut up in reusable containers. And two, with kids, it’s often a convenience factor that takes priority. It’s a short stage of life and we balance it out with other sustainable ways of storing foods.⁣
3ļøāƒ£We keep one open container for special surprises or leftovers (for example, if I make a batch of blender muffins for lunches and have a few left over or we have takeout and there’s a leftover quesadilla, I’ll put it in the kids’ fridge.)⁣
⁣
But most importantly, you HAVE to run to stores and pick up @onceuponafarm’s NEW Organic Refrigerated Oat Bars! My kids are all obsessed - they’re made with real fruit and veggies plus 100% whole grain oats - plus they have a no-sugar added drizzle on each bar that gives them that sweetness kids love. Roma loves the Banana Chocolate (because chocolate!), the twins love the Apple Cinnamon, and Luca digs the Strawberry flavor!⁣
⁣
Save this post and tag a friend who needs the inspo! šŸ‘‡šŸ¼
