maternity favorites

here are my maternity favorites, updated as I’ve gone along.

for the boobies

pregnancy boob tube bust protection cream by Mama Mio

I am obsessed with this stuff. it has seriously transformed my décolletage. my neck and breast area looks visibly firmer and the skin is softer. you feel instantly better after putting it on. after pregnancy, I’m going to continue to use this cream – I wish I had known about it sooner!

for the belly

the tummy rub butter by Mama Mio

I swear when I put this on, it keeps my belly skin hydrated all day long. Lu even said to me once, “your belly looks fake!” because it was so well hydrated, it’s almost shiny! it feels amazing going on, is so creamy, and is not sticky at all. worth every penny!

belly oil by Zoe Organics

I used this towards the end of my pregnancy, once my belly was getting really big and the skin felt tighter. I used the above tummy rub butter in the evening and the oil in the morning or vice versa – I’d just switch it up!

prenatal vitamin

garden of life prenatal multivitamin

the moment I found out I was pregnant, I bought these on Amazon and bought the above tummy butter. it’s vegetarian, which was really important to me – but it’s not a one-a-day, you have to take 1 pill 3 times a day.

favorite maternity jeans

I haven’t dabbled too much just yet, but I’m obsessed with these jeans by Ingrid & Isabel with a crossover panel. they feel so, so, so supportive. and I love rolling up the bottoms and wearing with booties – and look forward to pairing them with wedges. warning: they do have thick seams up the belly, so if you’re wearing a tight-fitting shirt, the seams will show through. that’s the only negative of these jeans!

if you’re looking for something a little less heavy duty, I love these full panel maternity jeans from GAP – they don’t give your belly as much support, but they feel lighter weight and are a great option!

favorite everyday shirt

solid crew tee by GAP

I literally have bought this in every single color (well, not every, but most) – it is SO comfortable, so flattering (#sideruching), and light enough that you can wear it year-round.

favorite bras

I did not purchased a maternity bra until much later in my pregnancy (30+ weeks)! here are the bras I wore throughout my whole pregnancy:

my favorite sports bra by panache
my everyday bra by wacoal
nursing bra by motherhood maternity
nursing bra by bravado designs (this one too!)

favorite workout leggings

active knee pant crossover panel by ingrid & isabel

I can’t even do these justice. just like ingrid & isabel’s denim, these leggings offer SO much support and are thick and supportive. I wear them around the house, running errands, and of course, to the gym. can’t recommend them more!

favorite pregnancy app

I’ve been using The Bump app!

favorite tank

nursing tank by boob

this nursing tank is the BEST. I wear it as a black tank top with jeans or shorts and I wore it under sweaters or cardigans when temperatures were cooler. it’s going to be a lifesaver when nursing time comes around. it’s nice and LONG so if you have a longer torso or, like me, a bigger bust, it doesn’t ride up over the bump. it kinda sucks you in too, it’s super flattering!

favorite nursing pillow

the snoogle with this cover

OMG. I’m obsessed with this pillow and it was the only way I could sleep comfortably, starting in the middle of my second trimester up until the very end. WARNING: your husband/partner may steal it from you!

air fried shrimp tacos with pineapple mango salsa and guacamole, another meal made fully from a @wholefoods shop! 🌮🍍🥑🍤⁣

~ corn tortillas⁣
~ guacamole⁣
~ pineapple & mango salsa (fresh prepared foods)⁣
~ sliced red cabbage (pre-sliced container)⁣
~ @sirkensingtons chile lime crema⁣
~ cleaned & deveined shrimp ⁣
~ panko breadcrumbs ⁣

preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees. dredge the shrimp in egg and dip in panko (toss the panko with paprika, onion, chili, & garlic powder, salt, and cumin.) add in a single layer to the air fryer and cook for 7-10 minutes, flipping halfway through (they’re done when golden brown and C-shaped.) spread some guacamole on the tortillas and top with shrimp, cabbage tossed with juiced lime, pineapple mango salsa, and drizzle with the bottled crema. easy peasy! 👏🏼 ⁣

what’s your favorite easy weeknight taco combo? 🌮 #inspiralizedwholefoodsmealideas

super easy lunch idea, made (almost) entirely from the freezer and 100% from @wholefoodsmarket, so next time you go there to shop, grab the following items and make this Teriyaki Tofu and Pepper Riced Cauliflower Stir Fry👇🏼👇🏼

~ frozen riced cauliflower, stir fry style⁣
~ frozen three pepper blend (sliced bell peppers)⁣
~ organic teriyaki sauce⁣
~ @wildwoodfoods teriyaki baked tofu⁣
~ for garnish: white sesame seeds, red pepper flakes⁣

heat a tablespoon of neutral oil in a medium skillet. add the bag of riced cauliflower and sauté until softened to your preference (about 5 minutes for rice-like, IMHO.) set the cauliflower aside in a bowl. add a couple handfuls of bell pepper strips and half the package of tofu, cubed. pour over some teriyaki sauce (I use about 1/3 cup), stir, and let cook until peppers are totally soft, another 3 to 5 minutes. top the riced cauliflower with the teriyaki tofu and peppers. garnish with sesame seeds and red pepper flakes. enjoy!⁣ 🥡

do you like easy meal ideas like this from specific grocery stores? 🤔 I'll start a hashtag for them - this one will be #inspiralizedwholefoodsmealideas

probably my favorite part of parenthood is seeing life through my children’s’ eyes. everything is new and they live a life of exciting discovery. and nothing beats the merriment of Christmastime! 🎄🎅🏻 luca and roma had a blast ice skating today in NYC - luca got the hang of it quickly and he loved pushing roma on the little plastic bear seats they had at @rinkatbrookfieldplacenyc. ⛸❄️ the twins were angels and slept the whole time, so I could be present with my older kids. 👼🏻👼🏻

and we’re building a holiday bucket list calendar, what should we add to it (aside from meeting santa? 😉)

cauliflower and carrot masala, totally normal meal on thanksgiving eve, right? 😅🥄

tomorrow we’re going to my BIL’s to hang out with Lu’s side of the family, and I’m excited to see everyone (it’s been YEARS!) and have the kids spend time with their cousins, aunts and uncles 🙏🏼

for the curry, simmer cauliflower, carrots, a jar of @mayakaimalfoods, and 2 cups of @bonafideprovisions veggie broth in a large pot for 20 minutes or until thickened to your preference. add cooked lentils, stir, and serve with jasmine rice, chutney and toasted naan. easy 30 minute meal 👏🏼 not exactly thanksgiving-friendly, but worth a share!

safe travels today and tomorrow and wishing everyone a safe and happy thanksgiving 🦃 I’m so grateful for you
