what I’m into right now – 3.20.17

...Friday, Lu came home early and we went to see an apartment at 5pm. we loved it, so we put in an application, so cross your fingers for us! It's a 2BR + den, so I would probably be back to working from home, but I'm okay with that, considering it's 1,600+ square feet and we currently live in 950 square feet. after that, we chilled and watched a few more episodes of Love, and then met up with my friend Cassidy for dinner and a comedy show in Jersey City, at this Spanish tapas joint called Raval. great food and the last comedian of the set was hilarious, Bonnie McFarlane

this weekend….

Friday, Lu came home early and we went to see an apartment at 5pm. we loved it, so we put in an application, so cross your fingers for us! It’s a 2BR + den, so I would probably be back to working from home, but I’m okay with that, considering it’s 1,600+ square feet and we currently live in 950 square feet. after that, we chilled and watched a few more episodes of Love, and then met up with my friend Cassidy for dinner and a comedy show in Jersey City, at this Spanish tapas joint called Raval. great food and the last comedian of the set was hilarious, Bonnie McFarlane.

Saturday, we went to our weekly morning yoga class, which ended up only being the three of us (me, Lu, and another guy) which was fun. after, we went to Beechwood for breakfast and then back home, got ready, and headed to Toys ‘R Us to grab a gift for our niece, Gabriella. we went to Lu’s brother’s home in the suburbs for Gabriella’s 2-year birthday party. his sister, Sandra and her husband Juan, and his mother were in town from Puerto Rico to celebrate, so it was really nice to spend time with them. around 7:30pm, we headed back to Jersey City where we met up with four of our friends for dinner at one of our favorite spots, Talde. definitely ate too much (on top of the birthday cake slices I had earlier), and came home, and watched another couple episodes of Love before passing out.

Sunday, we had a lazy morning, did some work, made breakfast, and then I headed into NYC to meet up with Cassidy and my other friend Ryann for brunch at an adorable spot in TriBeCa called Maman. I love this cozy spot, I had the launch party for my second cookbook there! I had the deconstructed avocado toast (seen above) which was amazing. I took the ferry home and Lu picked me up and we went to Target so I could finally buy pillows for our bed (long overdue, I’ve wanted some decorative pillows forever.) of course, since it’s Target, I bought way too much – a dozen candles, etc. we came back, watched the final episode of the new Love season and took a very relaxing nap. cooked dinner (turkey burgers, veggies, and sweet potato fries.) finished up with our Sunday night shows – Big Little Lies, Girls, and Crashing. perfect Sunday!

when I thought I couldn’t love Chrissy Teigen anymore, she comes out with this. bravo for being so honest.

these cactus water cleansing wipes by Pacifica are EVERYTHING. they smell amazing and really leave your skin feeling clean.

these pineapple drink markers make me want to go on vacation. definitely having friends over this summer by the pool and serving cocktails with these.
