recipe: matcha tea latte

in an effort to cut down on coffee, I recently started making almond milk matcha lattes.

what’s matcha? matcha is finely stone-ground green tea leaves, made into a delicate powder form. it’s high in antioxidants and by incorporating matcha into our lattes, we can reap the benefits of green tea, with a bit more oomph.

almond milk matcha latte

time to make:
5 minutes serves: 1

1 teaspoon matcha powder
1/4 cup boiling water
3/4 cup simmering almond milk

place the matcha powder in a heat safe cup or mug. pour in the water and immediately whisk until matcha powder dissolves. tilt the cup or mug and slowly pour in the simmering almond milk. stir.
