this weekend….
…Friday, my family came over for dinner! My grandmother and father came over, along with my sister and Ben. we had a little party in the new apartment and the boys went downstairs and grilled some chicken, fish, and veggies. I made the potatoes and we had plenty of dessert! it was a great little night altogether. My mother was missed, but she’s down in FL! Her #FOMO was real.
…Saturday, I woke up with Lu, grabbed breakfast wraps downstairs and then he left to go to an event in NYC and I went to my office for six hours to work on something for Inspiralized. SIX HOURS. It was so hard to stay on-task on a Saturday, let me tell you. but, I got about 80% done of what I wanted to accomplish. afterwards, we hung out together on the couch, I worked on my baby registry, ordered our crib (this one in washed natural!), some wallpaper (here in white/navy). then we went to dinner at our favorite Mexican spot in Jersey City, followed by a little trip to the bookstore and some fro-yo. we came back, watched The Wizard of Lies, and passed out.
…Sunday, we grabbed breakfast and then Lu went to a baptism in the Jersey suburbs and I went to Long Island City, Queens for our friends’ baby shower. it was so fun to see my friend get excited over her little baby! it was great to see friends and hang out on such a beautiful day, too. after, I came home, edited by baby registry (ha!) and then my friends Cassidy and Shannon came over. we ordered turkey burgers and I made brussels sprouts and sweet potato fries. we watched the Billboard Music Awards, then they went home and we hit the hay!
