this weekend….

Friday, Lu flew back home from an LA work trip and his mother flew in from Puerto Rico to spend the weekend with us. we went out to dinner in our neighborhood and then came back and relaxed.

Saturday, we woke up and went to the gym with Lu’s mom, my sister, and her fiancé. after, Lu, his mom and I went to grab breakfast in town. we walked around a little bit and did some shopping. we went to the farmer’s market to load up on zucchinis. it was so grossly humid out, so we came back and did a little nursery organization and then my sister and her fiancé came over and we had some drinks (mocktails for me!) and hung out. we ended up grilling and everyone stayed over for dinner and hung out.

Sunday, we drove to Westfield where Lu’s brother lives and we dropped his mother off there, where she’ll be spending a week or so with Lu’s brother, our sister-in-law and their 2.5 year old! she’s here for my baby shower and to visit the family! we hung out there for a couple of hours and then drove back to Jersey City. we had lunch (an epic curried cauliflower wrap for me!) and then went on an errand for a friend. after that, we were pooped and just laid on the couch and watched Netflix (really loving Friends From College, now that we finished Riverdale.) then, we walked into town and had dinner (I had a great vegan crab cake!) and ended the day with some amazing ice cream at our favorite ice cream place. we walked back to the apartment, watched Shark Week, a couple more episodes of Friends From College and passed out.

what I’m into RN…

if you’ve watched the What The Health documentary, you have to watch this hilarious reaction video I found on Facebook – we were DYING, literally laughing hysterically.

watch someone free drive in the world’s deepest swimming bowl. wild!

I’m obsessed with this bangle bracelet, but trying to save money for the baby’s arrival! I may crack…

we’re loving Friends From College on Netflix, now that we finished Riverdale. definitely more relatable!

we moved a bookshelf from my office into the nursery over the weekend and I got a lot of questions on Instagram. it’s by West Elm – and currently on sale!

the ultimate push present. Lu, are you listening? 🙂

these loafers from the Nordstrom sale. and these nike comfy capris. this for chunky sweater weather? and rag & bone denim on sale? this tie-front top, perfect with a cute pair of jeans.

see you next week!

with love, Ali
