  • 2 tablespoons pine nuts
  • 2 packed cups of basil
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 large garlic clove
  • salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Place all of the ingredients for the pesto into a food processor and pulse until creamy. Taste and adjust to your preferences, if necessary.



  1. Can I make this ahead of time? How long will it last in the refrigerator? I would also like to blend this with goat cheese and stuff mushroom cups as an appetizer. Or just use it with any kind of spiralized noodles as a Pesto Pasta dish. My mouth is watering just thinking about all the different ways to use this. Coat chicken tenders, or with shrimp.
